I rewrote the headline of this article four times. My first attempts were too pessimistic, too conditional, too passive. Pessimism, conditionality, and passivity remain the preferred states for too many people, organizations, companies, and groups that should be in the fight alongside us.

I often think about the Allied coalition in WWII. These countries agreed on very little, several were natural adversaries...but they understood the existential threat of Nazism was magnitudes greater than a litany of individual issues.
A Democratic Congress and president will stave off the worst excesses of authoritarianism.
But, it's not enough to save the future. Democrats are going to have to show real leadership to stop the erosion of rights.
Real leadership would include finding a mentally competent person to run the country and that person, no matter how hard you try to pull the wool over our eyes is not Joke Biden.
Oh how clever. Is that all you have? Bottom line is that Joe Biden is totally not qualified to run this country. Obama is into his third term and running the show for the third time. If you don't realize what a danger that is, then you don't realize that Obama hates this country and will do everything in his power to destroy it.

My best effort at present is working with local Dems to elect our democratic candidates for Congress and the state house as well as supporting some groups that know how to "figuratively" kick butt. I am curious, Glenadine, other than ageism, what is the platform of the candidate you want to support? Note that I didn't mention that the Rep. candidate has 34 felonies and babbles saying things like, "I don't care if you die in this heat, I just want your vote." Platform if you please.
