Great piece. It is imperative we win this election.

This. Right here. “If they’re successful either at the ballot box, or by force, politics never leaves anyone alone.” I don’t think people understand this, the way extremist politics comes looking for you, actively seeking you out in what you imagined to be your safe space.

I often think about the Allied coalition in WWII. These countries agreed on very little, several were natural adversaries...but they understood the existential threat of Nazism was magnitudes greater than a litany of individual issues.

A Democratic Congress and president will stave off the worst excesses of authoritarianism.

But, it's not enough to save the future. Democrats are going to have to show real leadership to stop the erosion of rights.

Real leadership would include finding a mentally competent person to run the country and that person, no matter how hard you try to pull the wool over our eyes is not Joke Biden.

You don't need help pulling wool over your eyes.

The wool is on her back and her eyes. Sheep are fun

Oh how clever. Is that all you have? Bottom line is that Joe Biden is totally not qualified to run this country. Obama is into his third term and running the show for the third time. If you don't realize what a danger that is, then you don't realize that Obama hates this country and will do everything in his power to destroy it.

Obama? You are delusional and very very WRONG ( oh and racist AF)

As always great thoughts and advice. It reminded me of a watch word often said in the sport's coaching ranks: Give it a "KISS", aka., Keep It Simple Stupid. It is easy to get lost in the weeds and say angry words, which I have often done, when discussing politics with MAGA types or fence sitters. My best effort at present is working with local Dems to elect our democratic candidates for Congress and the state house as well as supporting some groups that know how to "figuratively" kick butt. Thanks for all you do Reed in keeping us focused on the work at hand.

Positive affirmations! Florida has sunk. Thankfully, I can help others through The Union. Reed, it feels so good to hear your words.

Just the encouragement I needed tonight. A great reminder that there are more of us than we each realize. We just need to keep finding each other, supporting each other and doing the work. To victory!

And yet voters seem to not care about anything other than the fact that gas prices have gone up................

Free speech is wonderful, and it can be pointless speech on occasion. But still, we do learn how someone feels. I am curious, Glenadine, other than ageism, what is the platform of the candidate you want to support? Note that I didn't mention that the Rep. candidate has 34 felonies and babbles saying things like, "I don't care if you die in this heat, I just want your vote." Platform if you please.
