As a theologian, I continue saying I want to be Bonhoeffer (who spoke up immediately and died quickly), not Neimoller, but the truth is that I understand, appreciate and respect both trajectories. I simply hope we can all find the courage to speak up and resist in whatever way has integrity for us. At the end of the day, we can’t be assured of any outcome, but we can choose to live with courage and conviction.
Thanks, Reed. Well, said. This "othering madness" is beyond words, but your words--along with the Martin Neimoller quote-- shines a light on their madness. Who is next in the line of their fire? Scary, but we must keep speaking up.

Thanks. I couldn't come up with Bonhoeffer's name. He was courageous.
Thank you! I was furious hear Trump and his blonde cross wearing press secretary trying to blame the crash on someone with a disability.
