Delivering the rebuttal to the State of the Union is a thankless job. The President of the United States has an hour to lay out accomplishments, an agenda, and a path forward specifically designed to engage the most Americans on a variety of topics. Joe Biden did this very well on Thursday night.

Does America exist without democracy and the rule of law?
Reed, there are so many enthusiastic anti-Trumpers out there listening to you but many will never have participated in grass roots campaigning before. It would be great if you could lay out for everyone how they can make a practical difference on the doorstep, how to support candidates in marginal or flippable seats, or registering new voters etc. Letters to the NYT's publisher or posting to victory won't move the needle. Three simple things to do would be perfect.
I like your Podcast and your articles Reed. Keeps me focused. You do a good job with the topics. Of late I have had to go door to door with a petition on candidates for our upcoming primary. I must admit I knew everyone whose door I approached. Had interesting conversations with everyone but one conversation did stun me. They didn't know how they would vote, because both sides are bad. In my mind, after I have thought about this, it pointed to the question: Why does the word ALL, such as the statement we value, Liberty and Justice ALL, not mean ALL include?
