Nothing new here. Darkness is indeed coming. This nation stands on the brink of political chaos the like of which has not been seen since 1861.

We are potentially staring down into the abyss of anarchy and the American people, those who enabled this monster to regain power, will bear the responsibility.

Remember this: Trump wants and, if allowed, will become an American dictator who will take freedoms and rights from Americans, retaliate against and jail opponents, shut down the free press, and plunge America into a repressive state.

We must do everything we can to combat fascism. Voting is not going to stop fascism, but anything that puts a barrier between Trump and the executive will at the very least make it so that an authoritarian fascist regime is not guaranteed.

I want to see this Kamala removes orange stains t-shirt everywhere on November! 👇 🤣

We must stand firm and united, to defend our freedoms.

At this point I am wondering how the state legislatures are preparing for election night when those who want Trump to win try to ambush or intimidate poll workers once the voting is over. Are there plans in place to keep the chain of custody safe? Trump is inciting violence continually so I believe there will be violence. What can Joe Biden do? He will still be the President and hold power.

Well, I am so sick of their lying and whining. Trump and his minions tried in 2020 and are trying again to steal our election. They are the stealers. As my generation like to say about bad guys, "No white hats in this group." As always, thanks Reed, even if it is to prepare us for the "lying that will get worse."

I think it is the time for the resurrection of Timothy Snyder's excellent digest of "On Tyranny", which, to me, is a must-read 126-page history of autocratic, Hitlerlike maxims heralding the demise of democracies. One must absorb what he cites to understand that what has happened in the past does not stop there, even when we won WWII, as we well know now. "Those who do not know or study history are condemned to repeat it". Mr. Vance is very slick and unable to give in, even on the corners, because he is in the servile grip of a man without a conscience. We are indeed in trouble, and God help us all. Because no one else can.

There’s Dr. Snyder’s book “On Freedom”. Order it quickly. It’s a tad longer than “On Tyranny”. When Tyranny came out I bought several copies and gave them to friends and family. Some are coasters for coffee cups and some are like beloved novels that have been read hundreds of times. As Dr. Snyder says, "History does not repeat, but it does instruct."

What about Biden using Article 25? The Supreme Court wrote it so Trump could use it. 🥴

I just saw this and, honestly, don't have a ready response. I think I should take Tim's suggestion and find ''On Freedom', digest that and then return to the arena, better informed to answer that - and other issues. I get the uneasy sensation that the sands are running out of the U.S. hourglass right about now and honestly believe that our Creator is tapping His toe, waiting, waiting for desolate mankind to turn on the flashlight.

Biden - - or Kamala? I missed something. Maybe Trump will use it to knock himself out so JDV can advance to the front; seems that is the Repub plan at this point.

JD Vance lies just for power. Donald Trump is being used by Vance as a Stepping stone to become president. How surprised will Trump be when VP Vance rallies the cabinet to invoke the 25th ammendment as soon as the opportunity presents itself. It is going to happen quickly. It is absolutely obvious that Trump is suffering from multiple mental issues, his brain is rotting before our eyes. He slurs his words frequently almost sounds like he is intoxicated but he doesn't consume alcohol unless he is lying. The weave is just incoherent babbling. He is incapable of answering simple questions. Karma will catch up with him very very soon. Trump is right the enemy, for him anyway, will come from within. The enemy will come from within his inner circle.

I am surprised to learn that never-Trumpers didn’t realize he was an ass from the word go. Of course he was. He was known in NY for stiffing his workers, for being a lech and a sleaze-bucket. Did everyone change their minds watching his show? I wouldn’t have watched it if I had ever bothered to know he was filming such nonsense. I guess I saw- advertisements but thought it was too ridiculous for words. Others apparently came away with a newly invigorated view of the man. Weird.

I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 yrs. Trump is not decompensating. That would only happen if he was rejected by most of his followers and very important people he likes/respects rejects him. That’s not going to ever happen. Therefore, don’t expect him to ever decompensate. He’s certainly is escalating his crazy thoughts and behavior but that isn’t the same as decompensation.

I think you are correct, but what is he suffering from then? Megalomania only? He reminds me of Hitler and Mussolini in his projection, but I am not an expert in psychotherapy.

Trump is a Malignant Narcissist with severe ADHD, and is showing symptoms of dementia. The rest of what is wrong with him fall in the realm of character disorders not psychological disorders.

That hyphen between the 45-47 on those MAGAt hats are there to imply that trump was also the 46th president. I’m doing everything I can to get a “, la” where that 47 is.

Dear Mr. Boyd:

How is this helpful?

Are you condoning the violence that I am sure is coming? At this point, it’s really not democrats vs republicans. It’s about democracy vs autocracy.

You’ve shown what side of the fence you’re on. I hope you can live with the consequences.
