“Patriotic Republicans” no such thing

I am of a certain age, and I all too well remember the long march of the Cold War. There was a bit of hope when Soviet Union fell apart, but the signs were there that all was not well. When Putin visited the US and even went to President Bush's ranch, things just seemed on a better path, but I kept thinking can any good really come from this.? Why? I remember when Khrushchev visited the US and somewhere he said, "We'll bury you." Still debated what that meant, but it means something like we will live to bury your dead. Or we will outlive you and be the ones to dig your graves and bury your dead. Well, the Soviet Union fell apart, but Russia is still Russia. And every day Putin proves he wants to "bury" us. He is no friend to the US or any democracy. So, if you're not awake to this, WAKE UP Now.

The Cold War never ended. The West never should have assumed that Russia would become a responsible international citizen and that commerce between the West and Russia could commence without extreme caution.

The question we normies have been asking since 2016. Why? Why do Americans support this fascist? I can’t give an answer that fits into this box. But we better come up with the one, because it may be key to breaking the MAGA code and keeping us safe from tyranny.

The recent election in Taiwan shows that disinformation from enemy states can be defeated. This year, the Taiwanese electorate faced a tsunami of sophisticated malicious information warfare from mainland China. Democracy still won with a pro-sovereignty president, Lai Ching-te, being elected. Like the USA, Taiwan is a deeply divided nation, yet its voters are well-versed in what to look for and faced down what has been called the largest illicit influence campaign in history.

Hmm. Sounds interesting. I was and am quite concerned about Taiwan's safety as well as our own. Fighting Misinformation is hard in this digital age.

I remember when President Obama made fun of Mitt Romney about his concern over the threat of Russia saying, "The Cold War has been over for twenty years". No, it was never over. Romney was right. We are paying the price now.

It’s not just that Russia isn’t our friend. It’s that Russia has friends and connections right here in our country. Trump and his cult are friends of Russia! Many of them are in Congress!
