The Project 2025 document is 900 pages. It took me weeks to get through it and terrifying. It's the type of stuff you write when you plan an armed hostile take-over of a government. Not to fill out empty seats. Every Democrat should be doing daily press conferences to explain it and how unhinged it is.

And now your fast-forward take on it is just as shuddering. I felt like I was watching The Man in the High Castle, that TV show with a dystopian America dominated by Nazi Germany.

It drives me absolutely insane that project 2025 isn’t projected onto every billboard and ad pop up possible. Why!?

Agree. It should be a top story every night, but the media only now getting around to Trump being a criminal, let alone a lunatic one. We have to just keep speaking out because it isn't the authoritarian blueprint for only Trump but any Republican who becomes POTUS.

I’ve canceled my subscriptions to wapo and NYT who seem hell bent on normalizing Donald’s Hitler cosplay hate rally rhetoric and more focused on how “the booming economy is bad for Joe Biden”.

And zero mention of project 2025. Major media needs to get used to calling the GOP what it is- a dangerous fascist cult. It’s not hyperbole it’s the damn truth.

Denise, Joyce Vance’s Substack Civil Discourse is dissecting for us almost daily the most egregious parts of the 900 pages of Project 2025 in layman’s terms. I’ve gone so far as to print each one so that I can pass it on to people that are still “sleepwalking”. In addition to that she explains the legal news of the Trump trials he wants discussed for good. Last night’s she took on the one in Washington DC with judge Chutkan who’s ready not to let it die just like that.

This nightmare vision is all too plausible.

Our country is sleepwalking toward it.

You stole my thoughts. The horror about which Reed wrote is very much possible. Here's my addition to it: Regardless of who wins, we will see violence from Trump supporters. Either they will be celebrating a win or protesting (violently) a loss.

The Economist used "sleepwalking" to describe it also.

I’ve read parts of Project 2025. The media should be talking more and more about this. Maybe we should tell people to watch The Handmaids Tale

Yes, folks should read The Handmaids Tale. Here is another: The Lottery. Evil in a very nonchalant. Can it happen?

My first thought on 1/6/21 was to wonder whose side the military would take. The facts that we had to think about that then and imagine what you’ve described here now is the most shameful symbol of the banana republicanism that one malignant conman and a battalion of lawyers enablers donors who hate progress have been able to inflict.

A chilling tale I could almost hear the gunshots. You should write novel length stories...

I see an “en banc” request by #Trump’s attorneys to bank a little bit more time (and, premium billable hours) during the current appeal process in #DC over #Trump’s claim of ABSOLUTE immunity ... Here are the Three (3) women judges that currently hold the fate of the #Donald in their collective hands. One (1) is an #H.W. appointee. The other Two (2) are #JoeBiden appointees. So, what will it be? A perpetual orange jumpsuit for the toddler from #Queens? Or, a set of proverbial “cement goulashes” for his FAILED team of worthless attorneys? #The-Gloppitta-Gloppitta-Machine #En-banc

Hanndmaids' Tale, yes, but look no farther than his immediate family in real life. Look at how he (Donald Trump) treated his brother and his Handicapped son(nephew). If he treats his immediate family this way, where do the rest of us stand?

Scary. The situation before us is a "bad dystopian novel". In fact, in 2020 those unnamed guys in black combat gear, shooting tear gas and attacking the loud/angry, but peaceful, protesters in Lafayette Square brought dystopia to life. These guys will be only too happy to do it again and again and again! Or at least they will try. This is not fiction. This is real. Wake up! Vote for liberty, justice and choice for all.

What concerns me is all the active military, veterans and militias not even counting law enforcement at every level who are in trumps cult. They are ready and Flynn is trying them all with handbooks for the coming race/civil holy war. Mike thinks he’s the Arch angel Michael for Pete’s sake. They’re baptising people into the cause.

We saw what happened to Ashley Babbitt didn't we? We have a real president in office this time around. I guarantee the result of another 1/6 will be one the MAGA faithful will indeed regret.
