Right. It’s like these big smart CEO’s that support him don’t think this far into anything. They’re all the ”big picture guys” too stupid to notice the details.
Reed! keep standing us on our feet and reminding us the only thing to do in the face of ever more exhaustion and chaos is, get to work!
I remember when some finance guy muckety-muck threw himself an obscenely lavish party to celebrate basically his being king of the world. it signaled the beginning of his fall. have observed this dynamic multiple times through the years. the GOP might have become Trump's property this week, but he's not up to running it or anything else. his low-energy performance last night, the fact that most of the speech was his ordinary stump one he's been doing since he came down the escalator, his meandering and rambling demonstrate he's not the "good man with his broad shoulders" that poor old Pence used to invoke all the time, anymore. he's vulnerable. time to shake it off, get back in it, with renewed purpose and confidence—he and his whole damned party are ripe for defeat.
Thank you, Reed - this list of probing questions is exactly the type of approach that we all should take in both analyzing the scope and impact of this radical position on handling immigrants and "others", whoever they may be. I appreciate your closing guidance to make all current Republicans fully own the policy and to rip away the veil of civility by revealing that their "mass deportation" policy is simply ethnic cleansing. If this doesn't drive home the intent of these neo-Fascists, I'm not sure what else will (although there are plenty of similarly outrageous policy positions outlined in the 900 pages of Project 2025). It's exhausting, but we appreciate you helping us focus on individual elements that we need to highlight and push back on in this resistance effort.
Yes. And with all this being true, it really chaps my hide for the press to report that some Dem in powerful positions have ‘resigned themselves to a second T***p presidency’.
The fact that you had to say the word “metaphorical” illustrates how there is never anything metaphorical about trumpSpeak. Code perhaps, but never metaphor.
"Vance is the first vice presidential nominee to get an immediate endorsement from the Russian foreign minister. Sergei Lavrov, Putin’s overseas butler "... this says it all.
Who is going to ask these questions? Not any of Trump’s likely media choices. He doesn’t do sit downs with real journalists or journalists whose bosses don’t have a stake in the horse race for profit. And, if by some chance these questions could be asked, they won’t be answered clearly or truthfully.
I purposely didn't watch the speech because it would have made me sick. Thank you for watching for me!
I love the list of questions. I had the same questions myself and have been saying to people I know " So where are all of the deportees going to go?" etc. I'm going to share the list.
How are you going to feed ten million people and how much is it going to cost? Are you giving them decent meals or what is fit for hogs?
Millions of people in concentration camps generate a lot of sewage. How is that going to be handled without polluting the homes of honest hardworking americans?
What are you going to do when the camps start to overflow and you can’t deport them fast enough? Are the plans for the gas chambers already drawn up?
And probably the biggest wreckage of all: "the workforce"!
How will you account for the economic wreckage caused by millions of people being taken out of both the taxpayer and consumer populations?"

Excellent list of questions. Bet they can’t answer a single one.

Thank you. Some badly needed questions that I'm afraid no one in the media will be asking.
Excellent post! I especially like the suggested questions on deportation for the press.

No way.
C’mon, man!

Wow, “Peace through strength” evokes the “Arbeit macht frei” over Auschwitz.

A terrible speech. He descended into vintage Trump in short order.
The "ethnic cleansing" phrase is very important. That should be used all of the time instead of "Mass deportations".

Excellent Reed!
Love the questions & Triumph of the Will reference trading torches for Ear Pads & Mass Deportation Placards….
