Great interview. I wonder if part of the trend is that as society and technology become more complex that government feels increasingly remote. People generally get by on a handful of simple, what they regard as, common-sense principles. We can’t expect them to understand mRNA or the global energy budget. They stop listening when they hear what matches their preconceived notions. Especially from someone who says simple things who appears genuine.
